COMPUTER SOFTWARE ENGINEERING-CSE
Certificate Awarded
On successful completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded National Diploma (ND) Certificate in CSE.
The Goal
It is designed for school leavers as an alternative route to higher instutution and those desirous at becoming professional software engineers.
The programme is designed to produce skilled software technicians who should be able to solve range of problems by the systematic development and evaluation of large, high quality software systems. After completing the programme, holders of ND Computer Software Engineering Certificate will have the opportunity of proceeding for HND programme in relevant areas and also the opportunity to apply for direct entry into 200 level in any local or international University.
Entry Requirements
Five (5) credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English language and any other subject.
Program Accreditation
This programme is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education -NBTE and approved approved by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) through Tashiba Institute of Information Technology (TIIT), Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria.
Objectives
A product of ND in computer Software Engineering should be able to
- Develop and maintain software in various programming Languages
- Detect technical faults in a computer software
- Design and test software to optimize its production and support
- Design and run efficient programs in a wide spectrum of field, and in various languages
- Install a computer system
- Produce large high quality software systems
- Advice on the installation of computer facilities Carryout routine (preventive) maintenance of computer facilities Work with a team on a project
- Become an employer of labour in a self owned enterprise
Program Duration
2 academic sessions for full time students while online varies.
Fee Structure
Our fee structure is moderate as we charge ₦50,000 Per Semester or ₦ 200,000 for the entire Programme.
It is a 2years Course designed as a professional Course & also alternative route for admission into Higher Institution.
We currently run three admission cycles which are:
- March/April
- June/July
- November/December
We currently offer the following Study Options:
- Classroom - Offline
- Online - Virtual
- Dual
Although the duration of the Course is 2years, the online mode does not cover for upto two years.
