COMPUTER HARDWARE ENGINEERING-CHE
Certificate Awarded
On successful completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded National Diploma (ND) Certificate in CHE.
The Goal
It is designed for school leavers as an alternative route to higher instutution and those desirous at becoming professional hardware engineers. To impart the necessary skills leading to the acquisition of skilled, enterprising and self-reliant personnel in Computer Hardware Engineering Technology
The programme is designed to produce skilled and professional hardware engineers. After completing the programme, holders of ND Computer Hardware Engineer certificate will have the opportunity of proceeding for HND programme in any of Nigeria Polytechnic or 200L direct entry admission in any local or international University.
Entry Requirements
Five (5) credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English language and any other subject.
Program Accreditation
This programme is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education -NBTE and approved approved by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) through Tashiba Institute of Information Technology (TIIT), Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria.
Objectives
A product of National Innovation Diploma programme in Computer Hardware Engineering Technology should be able to:
- Operate and maintain basic Operating Systems (DOS & Window)
- Understand the computer environment and acquire the skills needed to identify and optimize memory and computer configuration.
- Start and manage computer-based businesses
- Carry out routine (preventive) maintenance of Computer systems
- Be able to assemble and install micro computers.
- Partition and format disks and load files
- Install window NT\200x in a multi-boot configuration
- Partition and format disks and load files
- Install and uninstall software
- Detect technical faults in a Micro Computer
- Setup and troubleshoot basic Network in LAN
Program Duration
2 academic sessions for full time students while online varies.
Fee Structure
Our fee structure is moderate as we charge ₦50,000 Per Semester or ₦ 200,000 for the entire Programme.
It is a 2years Course designed as a professional Course & also alternative route for admission into Higher Institution.
We currently run three admission cycles which are:

- June/July
- November/December
We currently offer the following Study Options:

- Online - Virtual
- Dual
Although the duration of the Course is 2years, the online mode does not cover for upto two years.
